This program immediately reminds me of a recent review I did Postal Job Source, which was an apparent service to link people with jobs in the US Postal Service. Ultimately the program ended up being an opportunistic scam convincing victims to pay for a tool to help them get these jobs.
The question is, does Freedom With Writing have some sort of add in service like this. Or can we take it on face value. A valuable service that can link companies and freelancers together. Bearing in mind there are massive sites like freelancer, Upwork and Fiverr that offer these services incredibly well.

Freedom With Writing is completely free to sign up to, and to be honest seems to be something that was created in the 90s. You landed on the site and are promoted to sign up with your email address. And that’s about the extent of the “site”.
I expected some sort of back end, job searching page or account management functionality but there is nothing. After subscribing you are taking to a page that just reiterates what Freedom With Writing does. You are also encouraged to sign up to another site, Authors Publish which seems to be the exact same concept as Freedom With Writing.
Now you have subscribed Freedom With Writing will send you job opportunities as they arise. The interesting thing is their material never contains any affiliate links, which I assumed they would to generate revenue. The shell of a site is heavily populated with Ads. In a 300-word block of text there were 3 full width banner ads.
So, it’s clear they make some money through paid advertising, and then I assume perhaps some finder’s fee commission on any writers they promote to the opportunities. And that’s it. Pretty simple concept, they email you opportunities then you can go and submit your work and get paid if selected.

What Do You Get With Freedom With Writing
Unlike my normal reviews where I cover what you get for you money, Freedom With Writing is a free service. So, this is more about what do you get for your email and is it worth what they do with it. You would expect with a free service like this, that is essentially a list building exercise, that you would be spammed with emails constantly. I was pleasantly surprised however as it was quite the contrary.
When I signed up I received a 54 page free ebook, called “The eBook Formula for Freelance Writers” by David Masters. The book goes through how to write you own eBook in one week and has some decent information. Ground breaking? No, but its free so I am not complaining. After this as I explained you get an email from time to time promoting any writing opportunities.
There is nothing special about what they are doing, in that its then up to you to just go and submit content as anyone else would. They merely alert you to anything they come across. If you decided you didn’t want to part with your sacred email, you can do that as well. On the home page if you scroll down, they list recent paid publishing opportunities so you can always just access opportunities this way.
They also offer case students as well further down the page to help transition you to a powerful well-paid writer.
So where does that leave us? Is Freedom With Writing a scam? Or is this as it appears, a free service aimed at helping freelance writers improve their skills and get paid gigs – read on for the verdict.

Freedom With Writing Review Scam or Legit? The Verdict
I think it is safe to say Freedom With Writing is not a scam at all. This appears to me to be a decent attempt by the creators at setting up a resource for the freelance writing community. In fact they have been at it for nearly 10 years, as validated by archive.orgs internet archive way back machine.
My impression is the creators at Freedom With Writing created the site in the hopes of creating a powerful resource they could monetize with ads. Additionally, it gives them the opportunity to publish themselves and build something that looks impressive on a resume. Whether it has reached those heights is neither here nor there. Will it make you money, perhaps however there are no guarantees. But Freedom With Writing don’t promote this as a hyped-up money making opportunity.
I see nothing alarming with Freedom With Writing and am happy to recommend it as a resource. Sign up, give it a go what have you got to lose? But don’t expect it to change your life or even make you a cent. It just presents opportunities; the rest is up to you!
